Enter the name of the insured person exactly as it appears on your Banco Popular of Puerto Rico deposit account or credit card statement.
Select the coverage that best suits your needs. To calculate the cost of your coverage, enter your date of birth and the benefit amount you’re interested in.
Add beneficiaries and the percentage of the benefit that each will receive.
Make your monthly payment using your deposit account or credit card from Banco Popular of Puerto Rico.
LifeCare is a life insurance designed for customers from Banco Popular of Puerto Rico. It provides a maximum benefit of $100,000 in the event of natural or accidental death. For more information see the insurance certificate.
To be eligible, you must be between the ages of 18 to 74 years old and own a deposit account or a credit card from Banco Popular of Puerto Rico from which the monthly payment of the insurance premium will be charged.
You can name your loved ones as beneficiaries, or you can also name Banco Popular of Puerto Rico as your beneficiary.
If Banco Popular of Puerto Rico is named as the beneficiary, the benefit payment will be used to make payments towards any outstanding debt with Banco Popular of Puerto Rico:
As a benefit to you, the order of debt payment will start with the debt that has the highest annual interest percentage.
The effective date of your policy is based on your enrollment date.
If you enroll in LifeCare between the 1st and 10th of the month, your coverage effective date will be advanced to the 1st day of the current month.
If your enrollment is between the 11th and 30th or 31st of the month, the effective date of your coverage will be deferred to the 1st day of the next month.
LifeCare is an optional insurance that can be cancelled at any time by sending us a written communication that includes insured’s full name, address, product you wish to cancel, and the certificate or policy number. You can send it:

Your information will reach us in a quick and safe way regardless of the way the claim is filed.
We pay approved claims within 15 calendar days of receiving the required proof. If the claim is denied, we’ll send a written explanation with the appeal process. The claim must be submitted as soon as reasonably possible.
